Arconic is currently in search of an IT Intern to join our Arconic IT (Cyber Security) Team in Pittsburgh, PA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the Arconic Information Security Team to drive internal awareness of organizational risk factors
  • Design content and engagement activities to drive cultural change within the organization
  • Operate with Arconic IS standards and conventions and applicable Arconic BU/RU IT Standards
  • Work across a global IT team to share information and best practices

Key Objectives

  • Develop security metrics dashboards for various security programs (data loss prevention, web security, etc.)
  • Design and plan a month-long global security awareness engagement activity
  • Add value to the company through key IT project and task deliverables
  • Bring a new perspective and new ideas to IT efforts and processes
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with a wide variety of people, via face to face, over the phone, via email, via Microsoft Teams and in writing

Basic Qualifications

  • Credits toward a bachelor’s degree in IS/IT or similar, from an accredited institution
  • Basic understanding of algorithms, systems analysis and design, database concepts, and networking concepts
  • Current cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated strong understanding of algorithms, systems analysis and design, database concepts, and networking concepts
  • Prior work experience in an IT role
  • Leadership experience
